PaxThera is a private pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. However, clients can request partial reimbursement for their sessions through their insurance out-of-network benefits.
To simplify the reimbursement process, PaxThera offers two options to help you make the most of your out-of-network benefits.
You can choose to submit claims yourself using an easy-to-use platform that guides you through the process—no need to navigate insurance paperwork alone. Or, if you prefer, we can submit claims on your behalf, allowing you to pay a reduced amount up front while we handle the rest directly with your insurance.
Both options are designed to reduce stress, save time, and help you get reimbursed more easily.

The initial intake session is $250. All standard follow-up sessions are $200. PaxThera offers sliding scale rates based on financial need—please contact us for more information.

60-minute EMDR session: $250
75-minute EMDR session: $300
90-minute EMDR session: $350

The duration of therapy can vary depending on individual goals, needs, and the pace at which progress is made. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and while the clinician plays a key role in providing guidance, support, and helping to identify goals, the client’s active engagement is essential for healing and personal growth. The more you invest in the process—by practicing new strategies, reflecting on experiences, or taking steps toward your goals—the more likely you will see progress.
At PaxThera, we understand that therapy can bring both challenges and breakthroughs, and we are excited to support you through it all. We are here to work alongside you, offering encouragement during difficult moments and celebrating your successes along the way. We believe therapy is a partnership, and we’ll be there to help navigate the ups and downs, adjusting our approach as needed to ensure your journey is as effective and meaningful as possible. Whether your therapy is a short-term or a longer-term process, we are dedicated to walking with you every step of the way and ensuring you have the support you need to achieve your goals.
